The Role

The Head of US Sales is an integral member of our Commercial business development team. In this role you will identify and build relationships with key decision makers, both internally and externally; engage with potential customers to illustrate Sonablate’s competitive advantage; work closely with our Marketing and Product teams to capture and incorporate client feedback into our offerings; and build out a sales strategy and team for the US. We strive to offer the highest quality and service to our clients and as the Head of US Sales you will ensure that mission is carried out through the sales process. To succeed in this role, you will need experience with capital device sales at a price point of $300K-$500K, an understanding of regulatory compliance, a player-coach approach to management, and (ideally) an existing network within the urology market.


  • Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills in collaborating with prospective clients and internal stakeholders to drive growth

  • Develop a creative sales strategy for the US that results in a pipeline of current and new clients with accurately forecasted conversion rates and dates

  • Collaborate with Marketing team on market research, competitor’s strategies, and client feedback to strengthen commercial approach and product positioning

  • Take a data-driven approach to developing sales strategy and forecasting

  • Control budget and allocate resources accordingly

  • Build and lead US Sales team to deliver success with conversions, strong mentorship, and career progression strategies

  • This job does require frequent travel and presence in healthcare facilities. The Head of US Sales will be expected to comply with the vendor credentialing requirements of various facilities to carry out the job function.

  • Contribute to the strategic goals of Sonablate by completing all other duties, as assigned


  • 7+ years of professional work experience in sales and business development

  • Strong grasp of medical device industry with experience closing capital equipment sales at a price point of $300K - $500K

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Business field

  • Position may require significant travel during normal operations. Amount of travel will vary depending on candidate’s location and may include some international travel

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes as they relate to strategic initiatives

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data and problem solve effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in urologic med device sales

  • Experience working in ISO certified or regulated industry

  • Proficiency with Salesforce

  • Membership in an industry-related organization
