SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN I
The Systems Technician I manufactures and assembles probes and other related components and supports the testing of mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies and product according to established instructions, drawings, and schematics.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manufactures and assembles complex mechanical and electrical medical devices
Performs tests on assemblies and other components
Assists staff with improvements related to the manufacturing and testing of assemblies and components
Supports manufacturing and testing of product improvements, design changes, and new designs
Provides periodic and emergency service on manufacturing and testing equipment
Provides occasional support for other manufacturing/testing processes as needed
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment
All other duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent, required
Previous experience in the medical device industry, or other regulated industry, preferred
Experience with lead and lead-free (ROHS) soldering, preferred
Understands basic system assembly and functionality
Understands and can use various test stations and equipment
Able to adhere to traceability protocol and written instructions
Understands and follows Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) prevention requirements
Familiar with IPC-A-610 Class 3 requirements
Competent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret design schematics, drawings, and standard business documents
Basic math skills, required
Experience with Microsoft Office suite/software
Hands-on assembly and testing skills (electrical and mechanical)
